Creating and implementing real-time particle effects, the remote VFX Artist will design visual effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematics on a 12-month contract basis. Key responsibilities Design and implement real-time particle effects using 2D/3D elements Optimize visual effects for framerate and memory while ensuring proper integration within the game engine Collaborate with development teams to maintain the overall art style and orchestrate FX events for believable scenes Required qualifications Intermediate proficiency in DCC software such as Maya or Houdini Experience creating FX shaders with node-based shader networks Strong foundation in computer graphics fundamentals and artistic analysis Proficiency in Photoshop for texture painting and editing Solid traditional arts background is a plus
